Downtown Nexton, the nearly 100-acre mixed-use district in Summerville, has reached its second year since Lofts Downtown Nexton opened in November 2024. Two more residential buildings are under construction, the first expected to open later in 2026, and three-bedroom residences are being introduced.
Why this matters here
Every new building there is a batch of households arriving within walking distance of the businesses already open. Berkeley and Dorchester keep adding front doors faster than anywhere else in the region.
