A 4,600-square-foot restaurant building on Ira Road in Mount Pleasant, just north of Highway 17 near the I-526 overpass, finally has an operator. Neighborhood Dining Group, the company behind Husk, Marbled & Fin, Delaney Oyster House and The James, will manage a restaurant there, founder and CEO David Howard confirmed. The metal-clad building was developed for Frank & Jack's, a concept that never opened after the management group passed on it. Blackbaud founder Tony Bakker's company bought the building for $5 million, closing Sept. 8, under the $6.95 million asking price. Target opening is summer 2027, and Howard would not share the concept. For nearby owners that is a long runway, and a well-known restaurant group moving in across from Wando Crossing can lift traffic for the whole block.
