The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce has launched Lowcountry Pulse, a 40 question annual survey of tri-county residents covering childcare, job creation, infrastructure, affordability and economic growth.

The poll opened in early August and drew 800 consistent voters in its first week. Organizers balanced responses across counties, ages, races, income levels and education. Chamber president and CEO Kevin Sheilley said preliminary data suggests the region is outperforming the rest of the country, and put it plainly: "That's how businesses make decisions, it's based on data. That's what we want our governments to do."

Most Lowcountry small businesses will never pay for their own market research. When these findings publish, they are free, local, and specific to the people already walking past your door.
