Avondale is getting two restaurants in one room

Restaurateur Howard Greenstone is putting two concepts into 835 Savannah Hwy. in Avondale, the former Ruby Sunshine space.

Here is how it works. Mornings belong to Angel Biscuit Co.: house-made biscuits, coffee, pastries and muffins, with weekday breakfast starting at 7 a.m. After dark the same room becomes Emily, serving burgers, pizza and cocktails. Weekend brunch pulls from both menus. They will run Wednesday through Sunday, and the bar program comes from mixologist Megan Deschaine.

Emily is a New York concept that has picked up write-ups in Eater, Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal. No opening date has been announced yet.
