Eggs Up Grill owner Marc Cotone is opening a fifth Lowcountry location at 98 S. Goose Creek Blvd. later this year. The restaurant will include a private dining room and roughly 30 new hires, managed by Donny Chapman, who joined the company in 2019.
At the same time, Cotone is renovating the original Cane Bay location, which recently marked ten years. That work includes patio heaters and fans, new lighting, booths and flooring, plus a fryer and an oven in the kitchen. Cotone has said he would like to add two or three more Lowcountry locations in the next few years.
The quieter story here is the remodel. A ten year old neighborhood restaurant stays strong because somebody keeps putting money back into it.
